Awards & Merits

In late 2017, I started entering my images into The Portrait Masters Awards & Accreditation Program.

At first I was a little unsure about what entering the Accreditation program would teach me, but I was also curious how 5 Master Photographers would critique and rate my work.

I quickly learned what these scores would mean for me as a professional photographer and how they helped me improve my craft. Entering the Accreditation program (with client work and creative images) has helped me to slow down in the moment and better my craft, which also means I am delivering better images to my clients.

The ranking system is simple:

Bronze Merits are a High Professional, Standard Silver Merits are Exemplary Executed, and Gold Merits are [the highly sough after, rarity to achieve] Excellent in all technical & creative fields.

As of 2020, all of my earned merits have been Bronze and my scores keep climbing.

I’m currently on the path to become an Associate Level Portrait Master.
