A Photo Session at Kim Bales Photography is a completely customizable experience. Whether you are looking to create dreamy artwork for your home, new family memories to be cherished for decades, or images that will positively impact you and your business... I'm here for you!
While every session results in many different outcomes, the process is the same... we dig in to find out how you want to be seen and we create around that image. Below is a quick walk through to give you an idea of what you can expect when you book your session.
The Consultation:
A few weeks before your session we will sit down together and discuss your session in detail. This includes who you would like to be photographed with, the desired mood of your session, any wardrobe needs, and the print products that we can create. One week prior to your session, we will have another check-in to finalize your wardrobe options and address any last minute questions that you may have.
The Photo Session:
When you arrive at the studio, we will take a few moments to look through the items you brought and talk through the flow of the day. Once you are dressed and ready, I will guide you through a series of poses that best compliment your body and style. I will connect with you in a way that captures genuine expressions and the beauty that shines from within.
The Reveal + Ordering Session:
A few weeks after your session, you will be welcomed back into the studio to view the best images from our time together. It is at this time that you will choose which images you would like to purchase and place your order. There is no hard sell; what you like, you buy. Our most popular products are the Folio Collections, which gives a home to all of your finished images when they are not on display.
The Makeover:
So much effort goes into every aspect of our time together, so why not indulge in having a professional Hair & Makeup Artist pamper you on the day of your photo session. Our highly skilled artist will take this ‘Model for a Day’ experience to the next level.

How Do You Want To Be Photographed?

The Objections
I just want to take a moment to call out the two biggest objections that I hear from clients before they book…
First is “I’m not photogenic”. Here’s the good news… there is no such thing as being photogenic! It is my job to make sure you feel comfortable and feel seen. You just show up and I’ve got you! I am trained to walk you through each and every pose, ensuring we are bringing you into your full power.
I also hear “Oh no, just the kids. They are why we are here. I want to remember them at this age”. As a mom of two, I completely get where you are coming from in those moments. They days are long, the years are short, and who has time to prep themselves along with their kids, right?
Having said that, let’s also consider their perspective. Have you considered how special you are to them? How, as the years pass on, they will want to look back at the beautiful human that raised them? When your child(ren) look at you, they don’t see a number on a scale or a clothing size. They don’t see the early mornings or the sleepless nights or the never-ending to-do lists. They see how you look at them with joy in your eyes and they feel a sense of the love that you have for them as you snuggle in close. They see you… the real you!
